THE ART OF CREATIVE THINKING: Six tips to do it effectively

all those who attain great success may vary in many things but they have one thing in common; they think creatively.

German-born American physicist and Nobel laureate, Albert Einstein once said, “Imagination is more important than knowledge.”  Imagination is  nothing less than Creative thinking. Creative thinking is simply the act of stretching your imagination, to see possibilities in your job, calling, and environment.

Successful people in all walks of life practice creativity; successful pastors constantly develop new ways to keep their Christians, fruitful business men always devise fresh means to attract customers, prosperous married people continually create new methods to entertain their spouses. Creative thinking is a serious tool to destiny fulfillment.

MAKE GOOD USE OF YOUR TIME: 7 proven techniques to make an efficient use of your time

Here comes the fourteen absolute principle of destiny fulfillment

MAKE GOOD USE OF YOUR TIME: 7 proven techniques to make an efficient use of your time

There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven. (Eccl 3:1.NIV)

I was always seeing Bob with a piece of paper. The paper was either in his shirt’ front pocket, or was laying somewhere at close reach. One day when I had insisted on seeing what was in the usual famous piece of paper, Bob handed it to me. It is then I discovered that it was a “to do” list. On it, Bob had listed all the activities he was to preform that day and allocated a set time for each. Then staring at me he said, “Time is money, and even more than money; time is life! If you want to be in control of your life, be in control of your time.” Continue reading “MAKE GOOD USE OF YOUR TIME: 7 proven techniques to make an efficient use of your time”

4 compelling reasons why you should learn from others

A Lion, unable from old age and infirmities to provide himself with food by force, resolved to do so by artifice. He returned to his den, and lying down there, pretended to be sick, taking care that his sickness should be publicly known. The beasts expressed their sorrow, and came one by one to his den, where the Lion devoured them. After many of the beasts had thus disappeared, the Fox discovered the trick and presenting himself to the Lion, stood on the outside of the cave, at a respectful distance, and asked him how he was. “I am very middling,” replied the Lion, “but why do you stand without? Pray enter within to talk with me.” “No, thank you,” said the Fox. “I notice that there are many prints of feet entering your cave, but I see no trace of any returning. What a wise fox! Though his fellow animals behave so carelessly and ignorantly, at lest he learned from their mistake.

8 crucial steps for taking good decisions

On the 28th of June 1914, a young man made a terrible decision that was to alter the course of the entire world. It is reported that that morning, Archduke Franz Ferdinand the heir to the throne of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, and his wife Sophie were visiting the Serbian Capital of Sarajevo. At 10:10 their motorcade was bombed as it approached the Čumuria bridge. But as God would have it, twenty people were wounded, but Franz Ferdinand was unhurt. Shortly after, Archduke Franz Ferdinand and his wife Sophie were on their way to the hospital to visit the wounded of the bombing incident. Then, a Bosnian student and nationalist called Gavrilo Prinzip used his discretion to force a terrible fate on the human race. He decided an assassinated the Heir and his wife. Unfortunately, as the adage that goes that “if the first button of one’s coat is wrongly buttoned; all the rest will be crooked,” the series of diplomatic maneuver that followed the assassination were characterized by wrong choices. This accumulation of wrong decisions, culminated in a fatal world war that lasted five years, and claimed more than twenty million souls. Assuredly, a single choice, decision or act determines sometimes a human destiny for all times and for eternity. Continue reading “8 crucial steps for taking good decisions”

Practice self-discipline and fulfill your destiny: 10 tips to enhance self discipline

Here comes the eleventh absolute principle of destiny fulfillment,
SELF-DISCIPLINE
Therefore I do not run like a man running aimlessly; I do not fight like a man beating the air. No, I beat my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize. (1 Cor 9:26-27.NIV)

Alain didn’t know that his friend James had purposed in his heart to become an international Basketball referee. Alain had noticed the sudden changes in his friend’s character. The friend had become more composed. He was no more drinking alcoholic drinks. He had also stopped smoking, and had started going to bed at a specific time. What even amazed James the more was that his friend who use to dread reading, was now always seen with a book in hand. When these changes went on for continuous three weeks in James’ life, they became a habit. Eventually, James became the international referee he had dreamed of. In truth, a master proclaims himself by his restrictions. Continue reading “Practice self-discipline and fulfill your destiny: 10 tips to enhance self discipline”

1- The first absolute step of destiny fulfillment is: discovering your destiny

2- Have a burning desire to fulfill your destiny

5- Train, with 17 truths acknowledged
6- Have positive thinking: 20 truths about positive thinking that you did not know

Courage is reckoned the greatest of all virtues because unless a man has that virtue he has no security for preserving any other. Courage is an essential principle for destiny fulfillment.
What is courage? Courage is the quality of being brave: the ability to face danger, difficulty, uncertainty, or pain without being overcome by fear or being deflected from a chosen course of action. Courage is described as the absence of fear. It is not only the absence of fear, it is the act of facing the things that scare you but which you know are necessary if you are going to get what you want in life. Courage is the ability to break away from your comfort zone. Each of us has a comfort zone, a zone of behavior that is familiar to us and where we feel comfortable and safe. They are routine parts of your everyday life, the things you can do with no sweat. But to succeed, with your destiny, you will be called upon from time to time to break away from your comfort zone. Sometimes you will need a bold David versus Goliath kind of courage. At other times, we will need a quieter courage, the kind described by Mary Radmacher-Hershey, “Courage doesn’t always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying: “I will try again tomorrow.”

1- First absolute step of destiny fulfillment: discover your destiny
2- 2nd absolute step: have a burning desire to fulfill your destiny
3- 3rd absolute step: have a persuasive vision for your destiny
4- 4th absolute step: set goals avoiding 8 dangerous mistakes

A story is told of Mr. Gaston, a Christian bank manager whose bank went bankrupt. A while after the tragedy had befallen him, he also fell sick and was carried to the hospital. There he was admitted. One day Simon came to visit a patient in the hospital and suddenly recognized Gaston.
Simon always admired Gaston in his days of glory. After they had chatted a while, they went to a restaurant on Simon’s account. To Simon’s surprise, the bank manager solicited that they should go to a VIP restaurant. Simon who had thought that bankruptcy and sickness would force the former bank manager to lower his standard in life was very in dismay. Eventually after a while Gaston recovered from the sickness. And as God will have it, his bank was also restored. Gaston and Simon who had become friends from the day they visited the restaurant met again. Then, Simon joking confessed to Gaston, “I was surprised when you opted to have launch in a VIP restaurant whereas your bank was bankrupt and more to that, you were sick.” Gaston was now fully healed and the bank fully restored.
He then revealed what was the real motive behind his behavior that day. He said, “even though my bank had gone bankrupt and sickness had come, in my mind I was still a healthy bank manager.” Truly, our thoughts can help us more than doctors if they are positive, and harm us more than weapons if they are negative.

17 TRUTHS ABOUT TRAINING THAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

17 TRUTHS ABOUT TRAINING THAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”(2 Tim 2:15 KJV)
Even though Roger Milla has always been a great footballer in his amazing career, he is most remembered for his exploits during the 1990 world cup in Italy. What most of us ignore is that behind those performances lay special training and preparation. Despite his age, Milla still felt that the Italian world cup could be an opportunity to impress the world and end his tremendous career in a grand style. The news paper reported, and I heard Roger Milla also confirmed that prior to that tournament he decided to exile himself to the tiny Indian Ocean island of Reunion to be a player-coach for a semiprofessional team called St. Pierre de la Reunion. Milla received very little money or attention in Reunion. But for him, it was a chance to prepare for a tournament that was to change the story of his life. Milla for a while avoided the extraneous pressures and distractions that are so prevalent in the European leagues and particularly in international competition. There, even though being a player and coach, Milla still recruited a personal physical coach with whom he was training. The result of that special training was made manifest at the view of the entire world. Milla Amazed all soccer fans with his astonishing performances during the Italian world cup. What was true to roger Milla is what is true with all those you see performing well. They take time to prepare and to train. Former American President Abraham Lincoln wisely attested that if you give him six hours to cut down a tree, he will spend the first four sharpening his axe. The way you prepare determines the way you perform.

HOW FAR ARE YOUR GOALS FREE FROM THE 8 FOLLOWING DANGEROUS MISTAKES?

HOW FAR ARE YOUR GOALS FREE FROM THE 8 FOLLOWING MISTAKES?Goal-setting is very important and we cannot succeed in our lives without it. Here comes the fourth absolute step of destiny fulfillment: SET GOALS.
What are Goals? They are small objectives or steps that will culminate in your purpose. Goals are your game plan for fulfilling your vision. They are the tools you can use to go from where you are right now to where you want to be. For instance to write a book you write at least a page of it every day, a page will not make the whole book but when all the pages are written, they will lead to the purpose which is the book. So goals are the pages that make up the book which is your vision. Goals are so important because they can stimulate you if properly set. Set goals motivate like magic.
face_smileGoals are important at least for six reasons.

  • Goal setting takes your dreams and turns them into reality
Having a purpose is exceptionally exciting but the simple fact alone is not sufficient. By setting goals, you plan how to materialize your wish.
  • They keep you focused
When you learn how to each day set specific goals, you become more focused on the things that really make a difference.
  • They give you enthusiasm
When we have a worthy aim to live for you are automatically motivated.
  • They give you clarity in decision-making.
Your mind is like a workstation it needs directions to operate competently. And those directives cannot be imprecise and vague; they must be clear and precise. Set goals send precised information to your brain.
  • They help you stay organized
They serve as instructions to your brain. When you set goals and constantly think of them, your subconscious mind will act as an automatic pilot to guide you towards their achievement. They help you judge your productivity and effectiveness
Without goals you have no targets, and without targets you have nothing to measure how you’re doing. Your goals help you evaluate your productivity and effectiveness.

Goal-setting is so vital, J.C Penny a famous rich man once said: “give me a stock clerk with a goal and I will give you a man, Give me a man without a goal and I will give you a stock clerk.” Goals are so important for any thing we want to achieve in life but many people hastily set them and in the process many mistakes. Here are:

liferea8 MISTAKES TO AVOID WHILE SETTING YOUR GOALS

  1. Don’t fail to list the goal category. Many people fail to list the category of the goal they are setting. There are several categories of goals; spiritual life physical life, intellectual life moral life, familial life, career, relationship etc… It will be helpful for you to list from which category you are setting a goal.
  2. Don’t fail to put your goal in writing. While writing, make it specific. For instance, to say you want to be happily married is more of a wish than a goal. For a goal to be effective you must describe in detail what it will look like. Say I want to become a better husband by being more affectionate to my wife. Write your goals down, to have a way to measure your progress. Eric Garner teaches that, “Written goals have a way of transforming wishes into wants, can’ts into cans, dreams into plans and plans into reality”.
  3. Don’t fail to give it a deadline. Deadlines often scare people away from goal-setting. But setting a deadline does provide a target. Deadlines don’t only force us to work had, they also serve as a motivator in the sense that each time you meet a deadline it reinforces your sense of fulfilling your goals, creates the momentum and sense of success in your life and gives you satisfaction. Set goals for every day, every week, every month, and every year.
  4. Don’t fail to identify potential success blockers. You will meet obstacles therefore you should better expect them! Anything worthwhile in Life will have a price to pay and hurdles to conquer. Successful goal setters identify those potential problems first before they encounter them. This puts them in a much stronger position to overcome.
  5. Don’t fail to write out a list of skills you will need to develop to achieve the goal. If you set a goal to be more affectionate then you might have to develop some listening and talking skills. It probably would help. If you want to write a book then you may need to develop grammatical skills. This step forces you to consider ahead of time the tools you will need to see your dreams come true. Make a list.
  6. Don’t fail to identify the resources you will need. Chances are, you will require the assistance of certain people to see your dreams fulfilled. Who are they? How should you approach them? What should you ask them? Is there an association or fellowship to join? Some goals require the assistance of professional helpers.
  7. Don’t fail to list what benefits this goal will bring. Every goal has a price and requires a certain degree of sacrifice and hard work but also contains some great gains. When you list the benefits of the goal, you stay motivated to stick with it.
  8. Don’t fail to build in accountability factors. Have you tried to achieve a certain goal only to fail time and time again? You feel the goal is worthwhile and you would like to see it through, but you just can’t break through. To achieve such goals, make yourself accountable to someone you respect who can call you to order from time to time

64_38SIX THINGS YOU SHOULD REMEMBER WHILE SETTING YOUR GOALS
First build a proper goal. That goal will make it easy, almost automatic to build a proper

  1. Build your goals around your strengths
Although you can base your goals on anything you want, your chances of success are greater if, first, you base them on your strengths and second, on the current opportunities in your field. Your goals should be yours; that is in the limits of your capacity. You should not allow someone’s wishes to influence your goals; their accomplishments should be fully depending only on you. Why? Because if your goals are not yours you will not have the motivation or the desire to see them accomplished. You will easily be overtaken by discouragement and frustration if they arrive. To find out your strengths do some self-research such as a personal SWOT.
  2. Set your goals as big as you can
One of the factors that restrict the realization of our full potential is the belief that we shouldn’t go for big goals. Those who realize big goals are prove that we can always achieve far more than we think. David Schwartz shows in his book The Magic of Thinking Big that “Big goals attract big resources like a magnet.” Aim to make them challenging; out of reach, but not out of sight. Big thoughts send out an energy that attracts complementary thoughts from people who can help us achieve what we want.
  3. Express your goals in terms of what you want
It is important to express your goals in the right way. Never express your goal in terms of what you don’t want; always in terms of what you do want. For example don’t say ‘I don’t want to be a bad husband anymore” instead say “I want to be a better husband from now on”. Express your goals in performance terms not reward terms. Express your goals in terms of how others benefit. Express your goals according to the principles which matter.
  4. Make them all round
While focusing on goals is a sure way to move towards them, focusing on some goals at the cost of neglecting others is a way to achieve hollow victories. It is like the man who worked so hard to provide for his family that he neglected them in the process and ended up losing them from his life. When we manage to harmonize or align goals in one area with those in another, we find that motivating forces in one area actually help those in other areas at the same time. Set work goals. These are goals that you want to reach in work. Set social goals. These refer to the group you want to join to fulfill your destiny? Physical goals—what state will your body be in next year at this time? Mental goals: How will you develop your mind? Spiritual goals: what aspect of your spiritual life will you develop? Setting goals with equal proportional balance is the key so that you do not steal from one part of your life to fulfill another.
  5. Express them in behavioral terms
When we set goals for ourselves, they should be expressed in behavioral terms, rather than in terms of status, rewards or position. That’s because behavior is something within our power, while status, rewards and position are not. Formulating goals in behavioral terms also means we present a strong positive image of ourselves to our brains. The brain, not knowing the difference between a real or imagined experience, then seeks to act in accordance with the presented image.
  6. Don’t be afraid to modify it if need be
Life and circumstances are constantly changing also change with them. If you find that the plan you have is not working, change it or modify it. Don’t be afraid to make changes in your plans as you progress towards achieving your vision. You will change your goals often, continuously, and that is all right, too! You are simply writing down what your desires are today. Have fun in setting and achieving your goals. Also have fun in changing them. Surely, as you upgrade your information and knowledge, you will change your perception of what pleases you.

STEP TWO OF 24 ABSOLUTE STEPS OF DESTINY FULFILLMENT

STEP TWO OF 24 ABSOLUTE STEPS OF DESTINY FULFILLMENT
Hello dear. If you read the post 24 ABSOLUTE STEPS OF DESTINY FULFILLMENT ONE, then you are surely aware of the fact that this teaching is a series. In the previous post we dealt with the first absolute step of destiny fulfillment which was that we should discover our destinies. In this second post we are dealing with the second absolute step which is:
HAVING A BURNING DESIRE TO FULFILL YOU DESTINY

The moment you have discovered your destiny, the next absolute step needed to see that destiny fulfilled is a burning desire; a strong yearning to be all what God created you to be.

We have this story in the Bible (Josh 14:12-13.NIV), about a young man of forty called Caleb son of Jephunneh. God revealed Caleb’s destiny and told him what his future was to look like, he showed him the exact place where he was to live. But after that promise, Caleb still stayed forty-five years out of his destiny until the day he desired and decided to claim his portion from Joshua. Then Joshua despite contesting had no other choice but to give Caleb what rightly belonged to him. Knowing what God created you to be is not sufficient it just the starting point. What really puts you on the way of destiny fulfillment is your burning desire.

gnome_face_smileA burning desire to be what God wants you to be, and to do what He wants you to do is a the second absolute principle of destiny fulfillment. John D. Rockefeller, one of the richest men the world has ever had once asserted, “Your state of mind must be one of a burning desire coupled with plans and a determination to make more money.” Rockefeller was right because, men rarely reach for what they need. They always reach for what they truly desire. Desire is required to make money but it is much more required to fulfill destiny.

Nothing is ever done under the sun without a strong desire to do it including destiny fulfillment. You will never accomplish your purpose of coming into this world except you earnestly want it. Man was designed for accomplishment, engineered for success, and endowed with a sense of destiny. But, not every- body is conscious that God purposely made him; some people think that they are a biological mistake or a coincidence of nature. Many people also who know that God created them for a purpose but do not desire enough to see that purpose fulfilled. Destiny can be fulfilled only when you earnestly and intensely desire to fulfill it. You have to want to do something badly enough before you have the slightest chance of doing it! If you don’t want it badly enough, I absolutely guarantee that you will not be willing to do the planning and preparing it takes to get it. Desire spells the difference between mere day dreams and a discovered destiny.

gnome_face_smileThere are many reasons people find to justify not fulfilling destiny, but in my opinion, the absence of desire is the primary root cause. What is desire? Let me describe it, desire is a serious persistent passion and will to do something. It is a keen, pulsating craving, which transcends everything else. Desire it not a hope; it is more than hope. It is not a wish; it is more than a wish; it is a fire within us that pushes us to follow a course or to take an action. Desire is more than motivation; it is the mother of motivation. Desire is the mother of motivation because that is where your motivation is born. It is an impression that is most vivid in our minds at the things we want to achieve. Desire transcends distrust and strictly rational thought. Desire is the “want to” at all cost. Desire is not a passing thought but a lifetime passion. If on your death, you realize that you have not fulfilled your destiny, don’t blame somebody else blame your lack of desire. As we are going to see in the course of this series, they are many obstacles we have to transcend to accomplish our life’s purpose but without a stubborn desire at the initial state, all those eventual obstacles will look like unshakable mountains and will finally deprive us of our divine callings.

gnome_face_smileApostle Paul, pushed by the desire to fulfill his destiny, while in prison in Caesarea told King Agrippa, “I was not disobedient unto the heavenly vision,” (Acts 26:19). Desire is a force that refuses to see obstacles it is concern only to see destiny fulfilled. If you want to achieve your discovered God given purpose, then climb this second rung of the ladder; seriously desire to see that destiny fulfilled. Vince Lombardi, wisely stated, “winning isn’t everything but wanting to win is.” Yes, discovering your destiny isn’t everything but your desire to fulfill it is. Eventually, it takes also other steps to fulfill your destiny but it mostly takes desire. By a serious desire, we start to pursue our destiny. By it we challenge our limitations. By it we persevere in front of roadblocks and temporal failures and fulfill our destinies.
                                               GOD BLESS YOU

In the next post we shall be discussing the third absolute step which is: Developing a corresponding vision for our discovered destiny.

24 ABSOLUTE STEPS OF DESTINY FULFILLMENT

24 ABSOLUTE STEPS OF DESTINY FULFILLMENT
The word destiny has many connotations, in this context it means the reason of our creation and sending into this world.
God created and sent anyone of us in this world for a specific purpose and craves to see us bravely accomplish the reason of our presence in this terrible planet.
It would be very painful to God and devastating to us if at the end of our sojourn on this earth we are not happily received in eternal glory. God’s dream is to help us fulfill the great destiny he set for us before the foundation of the world. What shall we profit if we toil this tearful world and do not receive a “well done, good and faithful servant” at the other side? Continue reading “24 ABSOLUTE STEPS OF DESTINY FULFILLMENT”

HOW TO REMAIN A PURPOSEFUL PERSON IN A DISTRACTION FILLED WORLD: 4 TIPS

HOW TO REMAIN A PURPOSEFUL PERSON IN A DISTRACTION FILLED  WORLD:
4 TIPS

Purpose is very important in life. Until you have a purpose for your life, your life will hardly be relevant. No wind blows in favor of a ship without a destination. Your vision will be your destination. Australian governor Thomas Buxton once admitted that the longer he lives, the stronger becomes his conviction that the truest difference between success and failure, between the big and the small man, that separates boys from men, is nothing but a powerful aim in life, a purpose once fixed and then death or victory. According to him, “No perfect speech or manners, no culture or education, no pull or influence, can make a two-legged creature a man without it. I fully agree with the governor. 8 frequent mistakes to avoid while setting your goals for 2018

As I said in my last post160518494, you need to set goals for 2018. Goals are important at least for the following reasons:
Goals help you turn your dreams into reality.
They keep you focused.
When you learn how to each day set specific goals, you become more focused on the things that really make a difference.
They give you enthusiasm.
When you have a worthy aim you are automatically motivated.
They give you clarity in decision-making.
Your goals determine your activities. Your mind is like a workstation it needs directions to operate competently; your goals provide those directions to your brain.
They help you stay organized.
When you set goals and constantly think of them, they help you stay organized towards their achievement.
They help you judge your productivity and effectiveness.
Without goals you have no targets, and without targets you have nothing to measure how you’re doing. With set goals you can easily evaluate your productivity and effectiveness.

Goals are important, yet as you set your goals for 2018, avoid the following 8 frequent mistakes:

  1. Don’t fail to List the goal category. Many people don’t list the category of their goal. They are several categories of goals; spiritual life, physical life, intellectual life moral life, familial life, career, relationship etc… It will be helpful for you to list from which category you are setting a goal.
  2. Don’t fail to put your goal in writing. Many people assume that because goal-setting is a mental exercise, their goals should remain only in their minds. If you keep your goals only in your mind, you will soon forget them. Write your goals and while writing, make them specific. For instance, to say you want to be happily married is more of a wish than a goal. For a goal to be effective you must describe in detail what it will look like. Say I want to become a better husband by being more affectionate to my wife.
Set goals for every day, every week and every month.
Chances are, you will require the assistance of certain people to see your goal fulfilled.
To achieve such goals, make yourself accountable to someone you respect who can call you to order from time to time.

HOW TO SET EFFECTIVE GOALS FOR 2018

160518494

Just one month more and we are in 2018. Have you thought for setting goals for this famous year? I guess you have, because goals are determinant for success.

Helen Keller was blind women, but she challenged her handicap and became a successful poet and artist. One day, Helen was asked if there is anything worse than being blind. She replied, “Yes. The most pathetic person in the world is someone who has sight, but no goal.’ There are lots of parts and sub-parts to put together when you begin to plan your success, but a few things are foundational. Goal setting is one of those foundational things.

Have you a great purpose for your life in 2018? Then you have to set goals to reach that purpose. If your purpose can be considered to be a ladder your goals are the rungs of the ladder. You must set goals that lead to you vision. These goals give you a reason to get up from bed each morning.

HERE ARE SIX TIPS TO SET EFFECTIVE GOALS FOR 2018

1- Set your goals as big as you can
One of the factors that restrict the realization of our full potential is the belief that we shouldn’t go for big goals.

2- Express your goals in terms of what you want
It is important to express your goals in the right way. Never express your goal in terms of what you don’t want; always in terms of what you do want. For example don’t say ‘I don’t want to be a bad husband anymore” instead say “I want to be a better husband from now on”. Express your goals in performance terms not reward terms. Express your goals in terms of how others benefit. Express your goals according to the principles which matter.

3- Make them all round

4- Express them in behavioral terms
When we set goals for ourselves, they should be expressed in behavioral terms, rather than in terms of status, rewards or position. That’s because behavior is something within our power, while status, rewards and position are not. Formulating goals in behavioral terms also means we present a strong positive image of ourselves to our brains. The brain, not knowing the difference between a real or imagined experience, then seeks to act in accordance with the presented image.
5- Build your goals around your strengths
Your goals should be yours; that is in the limits of your capacity. You should not allow someone’s wishes to influence your goals; their accomplishments should be fully depending only on you. Why? Because if your goals are not yours you will not have the motivation or the capacity to see them accomplished. You will easily be overtaken by discouragement and frustration if they arrive. Let say your purpose is to write a book in 2018; if you set as goal to write three pages every day whereas you are capable of writing only half a page, you have not built such a goal around your strengths.

6- Don’t be afraid to modify it if need be
Life and circumstances are constantly changing also change with them.
If you fail to plan you are planning to fail. The most important thing about having goals is to have one. Losers let it happen, winners make it happen. By setting goals you are making the things of your life to happen.

5 PROVEN TIPS TO DRAW MAXIMUM PROFIT FROM A BOOK

There are many who read a great deal, and yet derive very little advantage from what they read. They make a judicious choice of books, yet they read without method and without object, and often without attention and reflection. Consequently, these endless readers cram themselves with intellectual food without real improvement of their minds, for want of digesting it by reflection, as a man who eats all day and for want of digestion receive no nourishment. So, it is of great importance, then, not only that we take heed of what we read, but of how we read.
When you have appreciated and picked a book, five steps are indispensable for you to draw maximum profit of it. They are: survey, questions, reading, fixation, and recalling.
1.Survey. When you read a book, be it a soft copy or hard copy, first survey the material content in it; just as you survey a town to have a general idea of it before starting to visit its quarters. This helps you to have a general view of the book’s plan, of the goal of the author and of the sections particularly appealing to you.
2.Questions. As you survey the content of a book, ask questions topics like. Where? When? How? And why? before taking the next step, have some questions that you will want the book to answer. Survey with humility and candour. We know so little, in comparison with what is to be known, that we have always much more reason to be humbled by our ignorance than puffed up by our knowledge. Real science is ever humble and docile; but pedantry is proud and self-conceited. Plan to read for improvement, and not for show. Recollect that the great object of reading is not to be able to tell what others have thought and said; but to improve your minds in useful knowledge, establish your hearts in virtue and prepare yourselves for a right performance of the duties of life.
3. Reading. For reading to be fruitful it has to be active and therefore we need to have a pencil in hand to mark and take note. Off course, taking note is more appropriate when reading paperbacks books or listening to audio books. Yet with soft copy formats you can highlight the captivating points. Even after highlighting, still jot down the idea in a blog note. A blog note is more accessible than a computer. Be selective in your notes taking, summarize ideas, even abbreviate. But don’t abbreviate because of laziness. Do it because you want to note as much as possible. Take note that most of the times you will need to read a book at least twice before really gathering from it. With a first fast reading you localize your areas of interest and the general move of the book, and a second reading is more attentive to details.
4. Fixation. After reading a chapter, instead of rushing to the next, take some minutes and think reflecting on what you have just learned. So doing you refrain it in your own words. Fix what you have read in your memory reflect on the sub-titles or marked passages, and try to formulate the essential thought in your own words. At times this is the best time to take your notes. This process will even help you summarize the whole book in your own words. Such a summary can be consulted one or two years later.
The only use some make of reading is to remember and repeat the sentiments of their author. This is an error.
5. Recalling. In this step you re-look what you assimilated during your reading. One should read no more than he takes time to reflect upon. Few pages mentally masticated and digested is of more service than a whole volume swallowed whole. To get a single truth so at one’s service as to handle it as skillfully as David did his sling and stone is more effective than the apparel of Saul’s armour. Many precious lives and costly properties have been lost or won through the knowledge of a single fact.
It will not profit us if we run over many pages of a book, taking only a general view of them to increase our speculative knowledge. We should rest upon the points we read, that we may imprint them in our memories, and work them into our hearts and affections, for the increasing of saving knowledge. Then, shall we find that one good book, often read and thoroughly pondered, will profit more than running over a hundred in a superficial manner.
We may have the most inspired and most educative book of the world at our disposal but if we don’t read, mark, learn, and inwardly digest it, it will profit us nothing. Anyhow, never take up a book merely for amusement, or for the sake of whiling away time. Time thus spent is worse than lost.

5 proven tips to judge the value of a book

5 PROVEN TIPS TO JUDGE THE VALUE OF A BOOK
Ye who want to attain great success and leave permanent footprints for others to follow must be a reader. Knowledge is power and we will never prove it enough that books is the first source where to acquire knowledge. Yet, Millions of books exist today that the mere mechanical reading of them would demand a thousand years.
Those who had a taste for philosophy in the days of Plato, for poetry in the days of Chaucer, for history in the days of Gibbon, for natural science in the days of Richelieu, for metaphysics in the time of Locke, for sacred learning in the ages when monasteries had all the difficulty in accessing the precious stuff. But, by contrast, every sort of book is accessible today. So you cannot read everything — you must make your selection. You must know how to evaluate the value of a book so that you choose the best out of the millions of books available today.
TIPS TO JUDGE THE VALUE OF A BOOK
1- Consider the title and sub-title.
To evaluate a book, consider its title and sub-title. You can discover from the title of a book whether it can be useful to you or not. According to our different callings and objectives, we have different feelings for books. Therefore a book may not appeal to one but appeal to the other as a far as it can meet his expectations. You will choose some books because they soothe and quiet you; some because they invigorate as mountain air; some because they amuse you by the shrewdness of their humour; some because they give wings to your fancy; some because they kindle your imagination.
2- Check the name of the author.
After checking the title, check the name of the authors. It may be a well-known author or a starter. At times by reading behind the book you can know more about the author. Be aware that starters do write good books too. Nevertheless give preference to the authors you know and who are considered as authorities over the subject you want to consider.
3- Check the table of content.
The table of content gives a survey of the content of the book. We should choose books to read, with a lot of caution on its content; particularly in the spring season of life, while the mental and moral habits are yet in a process of formation. A person is ruined by reading a single volume. So, the maxim,” take heed of what you read “should ever to be borne in mind. We judge whether a book can bless us or harm us from its table of content; just as they tend to promote or hinder our growth, the advancement of God’s kingdom, peace and unity among men. Taking this as the criterion by which to regulate your choice of books, at least at your early age, spares you some disastrous consequences that come from reading bad stuffs.
4- Check sub-issues.
Sub-issues include: the date of edition, the preface, the introduction, the bibliography and the rest. The date of edition give s us an indication of the type of information we can get in the book. The most recent books content the most recent information. Then you can check the preface, the introduction, the bibliography and the rest.
5- Check the moral value of the book.
A good book unfolds the principles of right living; illustrate the duties which we owe to our fellow-men, to society, and to God. It teaches us the nature, dignity, and end of our existence, aiming at elevating our views and hopes, and lead us to aspire after the true glory and happiness of rational and immortal beings.
Some categories of books contain moral values. Historical books for instance; especially those which relate to your country. History is the mirror of the world. In addition, books related, to the government and laws of the society in which we are good. Not less valuable are those writers that make us acquainted with our own minds and hearts; that analyze and lay open the secret springs of action. Also, few authors can be read with more profit than those that illustrate the natural sciences, and show their application to the practical arts of life. Authors of this character teach us to read and understand the sublime volume of creation. Also, read biographical books.
The kind of reading I have just recommended, most happily adapts to minds of every capacity and degree. The one rule for regulating your choice of books is this; books are good or bad in their tendency as they make you more God fearing, relish your God given talents and potential to fulfill your destiny here on earth.
Yet, in my opinion, the bible is the book with the greatest moral value. The Bible is the greatest and best of book. Sir William Jones, a judge of the supreme court of judicature, in Bengal, once said of the Bible: “I have carefully and regularly perused the Scriptures, and am of opinion that this volume, independent of its Divine origin, contains more sublimity, purer morality, more important history, and finer strains of eloquence, than can be collected from all other books, in whatever language they were written.
So! Let this peerless volume which is the Bible reign supreme in your library. Let it be the monarch of your bookshelves. An old Latin proverb says, “Beware of a man of one book.” But when that one book is the Book of God, the counsel may be inverted; for no man is as useful as the man who daily feeds from this table, and drinks from this well. So, purchase and read other books, but never fail to purchase and read the Bible.
Let no general reading, however excellent and instructive; elbow the reading of the Bible to one side. Be a diligent student of God’s Word, “and,” as Dr. Doddridge said, “you shall be excellent scholars ten thousand years hence”; whereas, however proficient in secular knowledge, if the Bible be neglected, you shall be unfitted for the occupations of the redeemed in heaven.
The world is full of books; but significant portion of those of is either worthless or decidedly hurtful in their tendency. So, select your books wisely and carefully.
In my next post, I shall teach you how to read a book more profitably.

ARE PUBLISHERS BECOMING CRAZY?

ARE PUBLISHERS BECOMING CRAZY?

Publishers are authors makers. Without a publisher to publish, however great and inspiring is the message of a book, it would remain unknown.
Publishers make enormous sacrifices. They spend thousands of dollars to publish and distribute a book. In most cases they take enormous risks because they are not sure to make any profit from their huge investment. The risk is even greater when they publish a beginner or unknown author. Publishers therefore deserve a lot of gratitude and encouragement both from readers and writers.
The sacrifice publishers make to publish a book is indeed their own contribution to the general process of writing a book. Yet, today many publishers want authors to spend years writing a book and still be those to pay for it to be published. After selling a book, a publisher earns 85% of the profit and pays only 15% to the author. Yet, many authors are not ready to bear the cost of publishing a book which normally is their own contribution. Such publishers are greedy and selfish. Someone actually said that such publishers are simply crazy.
Any author puts in hundreds of hours to write a single book. Listen, if an author puts only 3 hours a day on a book, in one month he must have put 90 hours and in one year 1080. And when you consider the fact that to must good books are writing in at least 3 years, then you understand that the author put in at least 3240 hours. Those hours are only for writing, let alone the hours he puts in to research information for the book.
Any publisher who asks an author to pay to have his book publish is simply crazy. Unless such a publisher will only attach his brand on the book and pay all the money he gets form selling the book to the author. If a publisher wants to profit from a book and to pay the author only 15% of the total sells as they often do, he should at least take upon himself to bear the total cost of publishing the book.
Those publishers who ask authors who have spent hours writing a book to pay to have their book publisher are simply crazy. If a publisher wants to make money from a book, let him make his own contribution by bearing the cost of the publishing.

5 AMAZING ROLES OF FOUNDATION

FIVE AMAZING ADVANTAGES OF A GOOD FOUNDATION
Though invisible, foundation is the most important part of any structure. Any person, who lays his structure on a wrong foundation, sows seed for a fatal disgrace that will manifest sooner or later. How many times have we been horrified because a structure crumbled and claimed many lives because it was built on a wrong foundation? Yet we continue to jeopardize our lives and that of our children by laying our successes, lives, and marriages on erroneous pillars.
The word FOUNDATION appears most frequently in the literal sense in connection with the construction of buildings or cities but it also refers to the building of our lives, successes, marriages, children and so on.
To prove the determining nature of foundation, the Lord metaphorically used it in the gospel. He said: “I will show you what he is like who comes to me and hears my words and puts them into practice. He is like a man building a house, who dug down deep and laid the foundation on rock. When a flood came, the torrent struck that house but could not shake it, because it was well built. But the one who hears my words and does not put them into practice is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation. The moment the torrent struck that house, it collapsed and its destruction was complete.” Luke 6:47-49.
So, even the Lord Jesus confirmed that beauty should not be our primary concern in building but foundation. We should always ask: Is what I am building stand the test of time?
From the Lord’s exhortation we can draw the following amazing advantages of a good foundation:
1- A good foundation spares eventual disgrace
2- It spares us future expenditures
3- It helps us preserve the lives of others
4- It helps us save time, because continuous restarting is serious waste of time
5- It dignifies us
Do you have other advantages of a good foundation? Then fell free to add.
You cannot build a great building on a wrong foundation. And the higher is your structure going to be, the deeper the foundation. So, because we gather knowledge mostly by reading, below is a list of good books that I recommend in case you want to lay a good foundation for anything.

4 ENEMIES OF MOTIVATION

4 ENEMIES OF MOTIVATION, AND HOW TO TACKLE THEM

Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. (1Thess 5:16-18.NIV)
Motivation is said to be the magic ingredient in the formula of success. Without it, it is very difficult and some times even impossible to attain success, but with it nothing seems impossible.
I have made a serious observation that people easily lose motivation, even for the most important projects in life.
But I have some good news; you can conquer demotivation. Here is how to go about it.
Dr Mike Murdock teaches that the best way to get motivated is to first know why we lost it, and then learn how to correct it. I fully agree to Dr Mike’s advices because, Identifying an enemy is the first weapon to fight it.

Here are the first 4 enemies of motivation

  1. Fatigue
It comes when we try to do too much too fast and at the detriment of health and spiritual life. We should not try to do too much at a time; it may break us down and kill our motivation. To avoid fatigue, it is advised that you have some achievable goals for every day. Success is obtained one step after the other. Try as much as possible never to end your day being completely exhausted. Certain essentials are necessary for you to experience a successful day: a) rest, b) exercise, c) scripture study, and d) prayer. When you ignore these daily priorities, there will be heaviness within your spirit. God has arranged for you to feel uncomfortable when he is not happy with you.
  2. Lack of confidence
It is difficult to continue attempting something if you don’t believe that you can do it. You would only be setting yourself up for failure. This doubt in your capacity is called lack of self-confidence. You will need to boost your confidence level if you are going to regenerate your motivation and get back on track. To address lack of confidence, focus on what you already have rather than what you lack, create your own personal positive words that you can tell yourself to boost you up. Speak to yourself using encouraging words. It is true that motivation can come from outside; it may come from a preacher during a motivational seminar, or from reading motivation material. But real motivation is the one we give to ourself. External motivation gives us a quick burst of energy, but do not last.
You need to motivate yourself using encouraging words. Repeat things that you already know to help remind yourself of what you’ve already achieved. Think positively even if you don’t yet believe what you are telling yourself – eventually, you may start to believe it. Learn to accept a compliment from others – and actually enjoy the feedback. Then the more self-confident we become, the more we are able to achieve. Understanding the relationship between motivation and self-confidence is important if you want to be able to improve either trait in yourself.
  3. Lack of focus
This is the next reason why we lose motivation. This happens when you no more know exactly what you want, or you might find yourself scattered across so many different goals that you find it difficult to complete any of them. It’s so easy to lose focus on what we are trying to achieve in today’s busy world. There is so much going on that we can get anxious, distracted, and lose our ability to focus. To address lack of focus, you need to converge your efforts on what you are doing so that you can begin making achievements – even if they are small – which will encourage you to move on to the next goal and the next and so on. Reminding yourself of your life assignment can also help you to regain focus.
Nothing motivates a person more than a sense of purpose. The purpose you have set for yourself is a huge source of motivation. Any person who refocuses on his discovered destiny will surely regain motivation.
  4. Lack of direction
This happens when you don’t know exactly how to proceed to get what you want. You may know what you want and you believe that you can do it, but you just don’t know how to get there. When this happens it would either stop or demotivate us. To resolve lack of direction, sometimes just staying in action can be important – even if you aren’t exactly sure which actions to take. The good news is that if you can educate yourself on the necessary steps, you should be able to restore your motivation. Let’s say that you have developed your goals and have something to focus on, and you feel pretty confident that you can achieve the goal but still you find it difficult to find the direction that you need. To solve this block, you simply need to take your goal and break it down into the daily strategy that you will use to achieve it. You should literally have steps written down on ‘to-do’ lists so that you have specific tasks to focus on each day. When you sit down to work, pull out your to-do list and get started and you will find that you now have a clear direction to move forward in.
  5. Unwholesome associations
This motivation killer becomes active when you have friends who distract you or keep on discouraging you by their words and actions. Some wrong friends intentionally destroy your self-Esteem and your self-Efficacy. Self-esteem is the capacity to respect and think well of yourself. It means that you appreciate yourself as a unique individual with your own set of skills, talents, and abilities. David Burns defines self-esteem as “the capacity to experience maximal self-love and joy whether or not you are successful at any point in your life.” Albert Bandura is considered an expert on the concept of self-efficacy. He stated that people perceive their own self-efficacy as “people’s judgments of their capabilities to organize and execute courses of action required to attain designated types of performances. Wrong friends will break your self-esteem and self-efficacy and if these two later ones are broken, your motivation will also be broken.
To summarize ,avoid what demotivates you, and you will automatically stay motivated.
Nathaniel Brandenon advises, “How do we keep our inner fire alive? Two things, at minimum, are needed: an ability to appreciate the positives in our life – and a commitment to action. Every day, it’s important to ask and answer these questions: ‘What’s good in my life?’ and ‘What needs to be done?”

HOW FAR ARE YOUR GOALS FREE FROM THE 8 FOLLOWING MISTAKES?

Goal-setting is very important especially at the beginning of the year. Indeed, Goals act like magic if properly set:
– Set goals motivate like magic.
-Goal setting takes your dreams and turns them into reality
-By setting goals, you plan how to materialize your wish.
-They keep you focused
-They give you enthusiasm
-They give you clarity in decision-making.
-They help you stay organized
-They help you judge your productivity and effectiveness
in fact, Goal-setting is so vital  that J.C Penny a famous rich man once said: “give me a stock clerk with a goal and I will give you a man, Give me a man without a goal and I will give you a stock clerk.”  But many people hastily set goals  and in the process commit many detrimental mistakes. But while we set goals for 2017, we should avoid those insidious mistake that never go without major consequences. Here them:

—–Don’t fail to list the goal category. Many people fail to list the category of the goal they are setting. There are several categories of goals; spiritual life physical life, intellectual life moral life, familial life, career, relationship etc… It will be helpful for you to list from which category you are setting a goal.
—-Don’t fail to put your goal in writing.
—-Don’t fail to give it a deadline.
—-Don’t fail to identify potential success blockers. You will meet obstacles therefore you should better expect them! Anything worthwhile in Life will have a price to pay and hurdles to conquer. Successful goal setters identify those potential problems first before they encounter them. This puts them in a much stronger position to overcome.
—–Don’t fail to write out a list of skills you will need to develop to achieve the goal. If you set a goal to be more affectionate then you might have to develop some listening and talking skills. It probably would help. If you want to write a book then you may need to develop grammatical skills. This step forces you to consider ahead of time the tools you will need to see your dreams come true. Make a list.
—-Don’t fail to identify the resources you will need. Chances are, you will require the assistance of certain people to see your dreams fulfilled. Who are they? How should you approach them? What should you ask them? Is there an association or fellowship to join? Some goals require the assistance of professional helpers.
—-Don’t fail to list what benefits this goal will bring. Every goal has a price and requires a certain degree of sacrifice and hard work but also contains some great gains. When you list the benefits of the goal, you stay motivated to stick with it.
Don’t fail to build in accountability factors. Have you tried to achieve a certain goal only to fail time and time again? You feel the goal is worthwhile and you would like to see it through, but you just can’t break through. To achieve such goals, make yourself accountable to someone you respect who can call you to order from time to time.

Don’t Pull Up The Seeds When You’ve Just Sown Them: beware of Impatience

You may have heard the story of “The Man and the Butterfly”, this man who saw a butterfly struggling to emerge from its cocoon. To help it out, the man cut a bigger hole in the cocoon and pulled the butterfly through. However, the butterfly could not fly because of its too swollen body. The man did not understand that the butterfly’s struggle to emerge through the hole of the cocoon forces fluid from its body to its wings and thus makes them strong and ready to carry its weight.
We live in a fast generation. We want fast food, fast job, fast money, fast success, and fast love. This attitude is contrary to nature who herself is very patient and allow every process to fully follow her cause. Any attempt to hurry nature, will surely lead to disaster. Impatience is the reason why 95% of people who set themselves goals fail to reach them. Impatience is the source of many trouble and sufferings. Therefore, living in a patient state of mind will go a long way to prevent us some unnecessary trouble.

The most important and difficult stage to accomplish any worthy thing in life is the immediate stage after you set your goals. In the first stage, there’s a brief blip of euphoria. But this soon passes and then you hit the arid plateau of learning. It’s in this phase that most people lose their way and give up.

But this is the phase when you have to hang in there despite appearances. Otherwise, it’s like digging up the seeds a week after sowing them. So, here, for those who need a roadmap through the arid plains of goal-building, is a 6-step guide to managing your impatience and keeping your plans on track.

  1. Have Plenty of Motivation Reminders
One of the cruel tricks that life plays on us is to make goal-setting easy and goal-building hard. This is no more true than in the opening phases of working towards a new goal. When we choose a new goal that seems within our reach, we are full of excitement and anticipation. It’s like the start of a marathon when everyone cheers us over the start line. But the cheers soon become a distant memory when we move into the second phase, the hard slog. It’s in this phase that we need to have a ready supply of motivation reminders to keep us going. It is in the early stages of working towards a new goal that you learn the most: “When you’re green, you grow. When you’re ripe, you rot.”
  2. Be a Fly, Not A Bee
The chief problem with the early stages of goal-building is that you can never be sure of the right way forward, particularly if you are breaking new ground. You try something and it doesn’t work. You try again and it doesn’t work again. And again. And again. That’s tough. But it’s essential. Because you’re learning. Karl Weick says that in this situation it is much better to be a fly than a bee. When you place a fly and a bee in an upturned jam jar, the bee will head straight for the light and repeatedly buzz against the bottom of the glass. The fly on the other hand will dive frantically around the jar exploring every corner until he finds a way out. That’s the example to follow when you want to succeed: be a fly, not a bee.
  3. Accept the Struggle
Those who are eager to succeed often treat the second phase of goal-building as an unnecessary waste of time. They would prefer to skip it and jump to the next phase of success. But this is to misunderstand the whole point of the second phase. It’s there to toughen you up. You may have heard the story of “The Man and the Butterfly” about the man who saw a butterfly struggling to emerge from its cocoon. To help it out, the man cut a bigger hole in the cocoon and pulled the butterfly through. However, instead of flying away, the butterfly was unable to fly. Its body was too swollen. What the man did not understand was that the butterfly’s struggle to emerge through the hole forces fluid from its body to its wings and thus makes them strong and ready to carry its weight. Like the butterfly, we need to struggle to succeed.
  4. Be Objective
In stage two of goal-building, it’s valuable to stand back and distance ourselves from what’s going on. We need to be tripeds not bipeds. Bipeds are people who see only themselves and others. Risk-taking is a do-or-die undertaking. Progress is either a triumph or disaster. Life is black and white, winning or losing. Tripeds, on the other hand, can distance themselves from their situation by finding a third position where they can observe things with objectivity. Life isn’t either-or any more. It has depth, colour, and many angles.
  5. Don’t Judge Yourself
Our win-lose culture puts great pressure on us to consider ourselves at any moment in life as either winners or losers. This means that failure is a bad thing and winning is everything. One of the most quoted expressions in our modern culture is: “Failure is not an option”. But this is to misunderstand the real nature of success. We need to fail in order to succeed. And we need to fail big-time in order to succeed big-time. Practically every successful entrepreneur, from Thomas Edison to Walt Disney, experienced failure many times over. But they didn’t judge themselves. They interpreted failure as “not succeeding yet” and saw it as just one more step on the road to success.
  6. Manage Your Morale
Of course, it’s not always much fun to be stuck in the hard slog phase of goal-building. Nobody’s cheering any more. You have nothing to show for your efforts. And the dream still feels as far away as ever. That’s when you have to manage your morale. That means managing your stress, keeping things light, and working on the things you can’t see: your thinking patterns, your emotions, and your spirit. And, like the fluid in the butterfly, these may just be the things that will make you fly. I can say: “I am terribly frightened and fear is terrible and it makes me uncomfortable, so I won’t do it.” Or I could say: “Get used to being uncomfortable.” It is uncomfortable doing something risky. But so what? Do you want to stagnate and just be comfortable?” (Barbra Streisand)

We human beings are very similar to the plant world. We grow best when we work with Nature and time. Don’t be in too much of a hurry to achieve your goals. If you hold on with faith, certainty, and determination, you’ll get there in due course when the time is right.

Eye-opening Tips for effective Risk-Taking

Men who attain great success may differ in many ways but they have one thing in common; they take great risks in life. So Risk-taking is as indispensable for great success as engine for vehicle.

Italian explorer and navigator Christopher Columbus who challenged the rages and waves of the sea to discover the American continent, once said: “You can never cross the ocean unless you have the courage to lose sight of the shore.”

Indeed, those who fail to take important risks during their life will latter regret bitterly. To illustrate, in his book, millionaire mindset, Robert Gerry reports that Dr. Anthony Campolo, Professor of Sociology at Eastern College, St. Davids, Pennsylvania, shared the results of a survey where 50 people of 95 years and older were asked: “If you could live your life over what would you do differently?” According to Roberts, among many other things these old men regretted, they their lack of risk-taking was preeminent. So these old people said that they would take more chances in life. If they could re-live their lives, they wouldn’t be so scared to take risks.

Yet, despite the indispensable nature of risk-taking, risk must be taken with wisdom for it to yield the expected result.

HERE ARE MY 6 TIPS FOR EFFECTIVE RISK-TAKING
1- I make sure that my project is strong in my spirit
2- I make sure I truly respect the project. Proof of it will be the time and effort I am willing to put into it.
3- I make sure I am passionate about it. Proof of it will be the price I am ready to pay. Someone wanted to learn the saxophone, but he was not ready to sit down and take lessons on sit, then he understood that if he bought a saxophone he will never know how to play it.
4- The vision must dominate my imagination. Proof of it will be that I think about it all the time. The vision must be foremost in my heart. If God has given you a true vision and genuine purpose, it will pop up in conversation. It will be something bigger than you; too big to keep quiet about.
5- The project must be clear in my mind. Don’t risk in a project that is vague.
6- I must have pleasure and fun each time I think of the vision. Your feelings can be good indicators of your love for your project.

Anyhow, risk is indispensable and must be taken; and, the bigger the risk the bigger the result. We are often afraid to take risk because of the difficulties we may encounter. So we wait for the difficulties to vanish. Unfortunately it is always the opportunities and rarely the difficulties that vanish over time.
